AGRIMA FOUNDATION
Frontrunner in uplifting Human Development Index
It was started by the honourable sir (Tanmay) in honour of her devoted daughter Agrima. The Agrima Foundation worked on the Human Development Index, which had as its main goal to improve the living conditions of rural students, people, and mothers and child development.
We mainly concentrated on the following points:
- To raise the earning capacity of the underprivileged segments in society and so integrate them into the mainstream by teaching Agrima augmented learning skills.
- Providing a sustained income that would enable economic independence for impoverished students and adults
A BRIEF ABOUT AGRIMA FOUNDATION & WHAT WE DO
“Human skill development in any nation is key for economic growth.”
Agrima foundation, a well-known NGO working for Human Development Index (HDI) in Bangalore, believes that HDI development with an eye toward employment is urgently needed.
An increasing number of people are realizing that having a degree does not always guarantee employment in line with one’s qualifications. On the other hand, employment opportunities result from a combination of education and enhanced abilities. The maternal and child health programme is another area of emphasis for the Agrima foundation because it promotes a child’s early development and shields it from serious sickness.
The centre for monitoring Indian economy reports that the unemployment rate in India is 6.98%. (CMIE). Lack of access to high-quality university education and a widening skills gap are some causes cited for this. Since more than 60% of the population in India is under the age of 25, skill training is regarded as one of the most important factors in employment development.
The HDI was developed to underline that, rather than relying solely on economic growth to gauge a nation’s development, consideration should be given to people and their potential.
A long and healthy life, knowledge, and a good level of living are three essential aspects of human development that the Human Development Index (HDI) measures in summary form. The normalized indices for each of the three dimensions’ geometric means make up the HDI.
Human development is oversimplified by the HDI, and only a portion of it is actually captured. Inequalities, poverty, human security, empowerment, etc. Are not addressed.
Our mission is to aid those who live in poverty, especially those who reside in rural areas. Whatever funding we receive from various organizations. We support residents and students in remote areas.
Our foundation concentrated mostly on three initiatives:
- Sahiba Skill and income development program.
- Agrima augmented learning Program.
- Papiya maternal and child health program.
Anyone is encouraged to join our organization, which aims to aid students and residents of rural areas.
